With the aim of expanding the activities of China Shipping Group in Shanghai, and taking into account the important deployment of the activities of this group, in March of 1999, a joint venture agreement was signed between China Shipping ( Group ) Company and Perez & Cia, S.L. in order to create China Shipping ( Spain ) Agency, S.L. (CSSA).

Perez & Cia is the largest Spanish shipping group, during its 150 years of history it has deployed activities in all the different scenarios of the shipping industry.
In October 1999, and due to the set up of an independent service between the Mediterranean and Far East, the first CSSA office in Spain was opened. It was opened in Barcelona and it is nowadays the head office of CSSA.
This service, at that time, offered the best connection between the Chinese ports and the Mediterranean. Due to the success of this service, CSSA in Barcelona grew amazingly reaching an important share of the local market.
In order to improve our presence in the Spanish market and fit its needs, we opened our second office in Valencia in October 2000. This office currently represents a great share of the total movement of CSSA.
In June 2001, it was opened in Madrid, capital of Spain, the third CSSA office. Its main aim is to carry out an intensive marketing task in the main consumption area, also where the head offices of most national and international companies established in Spain are located.
The fourth CSSA office was opened on the summer of 2004 in Seville so that the important market of the south of Spain could be dealt with.
And in May 2005, CSSA opened its office in Bilbao, where we had been present since 2000 through our sub-agents. CSSA has gradually increased its services from the Far East to the North of Europe, in number as well as in size of the ships. Likewise from October 2006 we have representation in the Port of Vigo, ordered of all the commercial activity of the zone.
Year after year, we have been increasing our cargo and our presence in new markets and trades. Following top management instructions, we have been giving priority to the improvement, first of all, to our internal procedures and also to our marketing activities.
Since 2007 we have started our logistics business in Spain to represent China Shipping (Logistics, wich will allow us to expand our service offerings in the Spanish market
